• Okay, lets have some fun rebuilding a NOS motor!!!

I've made up my mind, I'm gonna run NOS in my next motor. I was going to get a 5.7 package from T/A creation, however I'm afraid that once sh*t starts getting ripped out of my camaro, I'll have nothing but problems! Thought about going with a turbo kit from FFF. I've decided not too cuz (1)I'd just be lighting it up every time I took off since the power would be there and (2) I've seen all the postings with ordering the kit and don't know if I want to deal with those problems (no offense to Taigo or anyone with FFF. Thought about going supercharged, but can't find one for the 3.4L!! Sooooo, I think NOS is the way to go ( I hope )

First off, my original motor has 160,000 miles on it. I have this strange feeling like I'm due for some engine troubles/failure here soon. So I'm going to find another 3.4L to rebuild while I still drive my camaro. Now, this is where you guys come in....If you guys were rebuilding a 3.4L to take NOS, whats the correct way you would do it? I want to do this right, take every precaution necessary. I understand it's gonna cost a nice penny, but hey I really don't want to drive another type of car!!

I'm thinking of ordering this 3.4L GM PowerPak from super six motors for starters, what you guys think?

I really don't know what size of shot to start off with. I don't plan on using NOS everyday. Just like to have it for those times I'd like to have the extra boost!!! ;)

I'm depending on you guys for some recommendation for the internals, so let the info pour in.

i prolly wouldnt go crazy on the boost, and just get the rods, pistons, crank, cryotreated from www.diversifiedcryogenics.com

makes it a lot stronger, and should hold up to like a 100 shot no problem.

You need to learn about nitrous before thinking about building an engine for it

Check out the things I have done to my 3.4L V6. If you need a head/cam package, let me know. I went with forged rods and pistons in mine and they will hold up great. The car will be at the track this spring.

Thanks guys for the response. First, the web site for the heads is www.supersixmotorsports.com
Check the 3.4 Powerpak and tell me what you think.

Does anyone know what the compression rate is on a stock 3.4L? Supersix will mill the new heads to increase it for me to what ever I want. My mechanic wants to do 10:1! What do you guys think, knowing that I'll have NOS.

Vipe, I'm going to check your 3.4 out...

Thanks again guys.

Stock CR is 9.0:1. The cam with the supersix setup is small...you will want a custom grind cam for your setup.

Wow!!! Thanks T Punk for the site. Damn it, I feel like a kid in a toy store. That SC looks good, I'm trying to find their contact number to ask some questions. Thanks again.
