Its nitrous for me..all juice no boost

well...i finally took the blower completely off the car...i have been thinking about it for some time now...because i really was not all that impressed with it...not to mention i dont need the constant power cuz i dont street race anymore...i ran a 13.87 @ 100.94mph yesterday on just a 100 dry shot...i would've increased the shot but the new engine only had 700 miles on it so i didnt want to push it too much...these are the times i was getting on the blower WITH an 85 shot...i ran with the blower alone and got high 14s! ..just like i did before the new block...i just dont want to have to tune both power adders too...low 13s will be good enough for me...over the winter im still putting in the gears and probably doing a wet shot conversion...my complete powerdyne setup will be for sale once i get the alternator pulley w/ bolt, lower alternator bolt, and lower water pump bolt so i can take the brackets off...with my setup im predicting low 13s MAYBE high 12s in the spring...so James...you got another believer... nitrous > boost [img]smile.gif[/img]

thanks Shirl [img]smile.gif[/img] ...yeah i wanted to run the combo but i just don't have the knowledge/money/support for my car that i would need to really run it correctly...besides...im not out to break any records or anything...i just want to run V8 times in a V6 ...make some people saw WOW....thats all...i KNEW id end up getting the same ET on just nitrous as i did with the combo...which means something was definitely not working right...and i think tuning one power adder is going to be a lot easier for me...so i might as well go with the one thats there only when i need it..is cheaper..and allows me to run an ET that im happy with...so now i'll add the DIS-4 ..tune the timing...get an adjustable FPR...it'll be cool [img]smile.gif[/img]

just like james is implying, dont spray on a new motor. how many miles where on it before you did this anyways?

some of the newer rings (like the one i had put in my car) don't really need to be broke in, you seat them and maybe take the first 100-200 miles easy and your good to go. unlike stock rings were you need 1000 miles of break in for them and 2000 miles before any WOT lol.

the 3.8 cam is a hydrolic roller and don't have brake in time,

basically everything is about ready afert you break the motor in for the 2000 rpm run time the get on the street and seat the rings, after that give its hell [img]graemlins/rock.gif[/img]

after 200 miles on my car my compression was right were it's suppose to be for my c/r pistons.


but I like to be safe so i waited till after 500 miles before i seen what it cold do, but to my utmost dissapointment a car built for boost and running NA is not that fast, and my cam does not wake up till 4500 RPM lol

95% chance the tranny is going to cut my legs of as it exploeds
95% chance the rear is going to enplode.... lol

still need drags and lghts rims $$$$$$$
need HP tuners

and possibly i **MIGHT** upgrade to a T-70 turbo and/or put 30-50 shoot on top, or Menthol injection.

need WB O2

then i dyno tune and finally track times

i need about 5K to make it RIGHT

i also need to loose about 300-400 pounds to one time just to see what the car can really do,

damnnnnnnnnnn ...well do it right man...get a personal loan...thats what i did for all the sh*t i did to my car...i have like 15K loaned out for it...well...that and a trip to the bahamas lol ...most of it is in the cars show accessories (some of which i've gotten rid of)...the engine...and the supercharger...but im hoping to get back about 3K of the 4K i spent on the whole setup...not bad for having a BOV already installed..6 & 9 lb. pulleys..and a boost gauge...by the way man...a T-70 with menthol??...thats gonna be SICK! ...when you start hittin 10s i gotta see that beast run!...i like how you add the show to your go like i do with mine
