• can you double spray?

I buddy of mine a work has a 2001 Celica and he says it runs 12.5 all day long. I have never seen it run nor have I ever seen any timeslips to prove this.
He said that he uses a 100 shot of nitrous and hits it twice at the track. Once off the line, and then another shot just after the 1/8 mile mark. Is this true, can it be done? Or should I wave the flag?

it can definitely be done...its just a dual stage kit...or you can get a progressive controler and do basically the same thing...that i have no questions about ...but running a 200hp increase on a 4 banger?? ..not without tons of $$$

If he says its a 100 shot, its not a 200 two stage shot.

A 100 shot is a 100 shot. Youd need helluva big slicks to be able to make a celica (FWD) hook with a 100 shot off the line. Id ask if he has slicks. If he says yes, maybe hes got a lot of work and does run 12.4 or whatever. If he doesnt have slicks, hes full of ****.

I think he means he's just "blipping the button". I've heard of people doing that **** before, normally it's just to get off the line harder...but the import guys who are running pushbutton setups sometimes don't know how nitrous works. The y hit the button once to get off the line, then again. (Unlike normal commomn sense use, just press and hold above 3500 RPM) Sorta like in that Fast N the Furry arsed Flick, the guy just presses the button once (WHy??), Hold That lil' bugger down and let the gas do its job.

I've seen a Celica here run mid 13's (high 12's likely at sea level) with only a 75 shot. It was sprayed out of the hole, with no issues on street tires. 100 shot wouldn't be that hard to control either.

He probably hits 50 or so out of the hole to make it easier to drive, sort of stab and steer since it's not a HUGE gain in power, and once he's comfortable and crusiing by the 1/8th, hit another stage of 50 for a total of 100.

Maybe a dual stage system?
50 then 50?
Ask for 60 ft times and mph, if he races he will know them

The decription he gave you sounds like he had a kit installed and dosen't know how it works.
Those push button setups are so gay if that is what it is.
Do ask his times and look at his cars engine.
12secondv6 has the best idea that it is a duel stage. There expensive unless you build your own.
I like all ways I built my own, I designed a 3 stage it works, on paper.
There is a guy at my shop that has a tallon with a 125 shot, he says it dosen't hook for crap and turns low 13's all day.
