I was looking for the 5175 kit and found it at thunder racing, but it says it is for 1993-1995 3.4l V6 Camaro/Firebird. Is there a different kit for 96-02 camaros, or would this kit work on my 99 3.8L? And if it wont, where can I find a kit that will? I dont want to go crazy I just want a safe, simple nitrous kit.

5175 will work, and it's what you're looking for.
Install is pretty easy, and since you have a M5 the WOT switch isn't what you want, you'll want a window switch. A lot of people have had luck with the Harlan window switch.
Other than that run all the safety precautions you can and make sure the car is running properly, nitrous will find the weak point.

^^^because unless you're a really kick @ss driver...you have to let off the gas at least a little in between shifts...this would make the nitrous turn on and off...with a window switch the injection is all controlled for you...all you gotta do is enjoy the ride (i drive an A4..but thats my theory)12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

You still want a WOT switch, but you SHOULD also use a window switch.
You can still be above 3000s rpms and not be at full throttle with a window switch. The nitrous will come on and bad things will happen.
A WOT should be used as a precaution on ALL APPLICATIONS.
You don't want to spray between shifts on an M5 car either, you want the nitrous to turn off.1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH

Safety switches for M5:

I agree on all of those except the push button. Sure you may spray out of gear if you miss a shift, but the window switch should shut-r-down before reaching the rev limiter, and *should* be fine.
I Don't recommmend missing shifts on spray.
I has the push button setup, it wastes a lot of time, especially when time is measured in tenths of a second. Just my thoughts.1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH

I did not think you wanted a WOT switch w/ an M5.
I thought that a window switch took the place of a WOT switch, with it being an M5 that has to be at WOT AND above a certain preselected RPM that would certainly hinder a M5 over an A4 for spray.
Learn something new every day I guess.

WOT is needed

Push button on shifter as COMPLETE master.
Lets say:
You miss a shift, you could meet the RPM window switch requirements.
You miss a shift and go WOT for some reason... you meet the requirements of the WOT and window switch....BOOM!
