• 98+...everyone has a dry kit?

i figured that most everyone that gas a 98+ has a dry kit, or tapped a dry kit into the TB...is this true? and if so, what are other options to keeping a wet kit, but avoiding drilling the TB?

not necessarily, a lot of people 98+ run wet. Dry kits get tapped down towards the filter, or anywhere really in front of the MAF.

if you want wet, but dont want to tap the TB, go NOSzle kit, or else, you dont really have a choice. why not just tap the TB? get a spare, tap a nossle into it, and keep it aside for when you want to have the nitrous hooked up.

hmm...i already have the kit, its a nitrous works one...and its in front of the TB, i havent sprayed it yet because of the hot wires in the MAF. but a whole new TB assembly has got to be expensive. i suppose ill just block off the fuel line and go dry... oh well. any other options would be appreciated (maybe a spacer??)

My thoughts, is only 2 screws hold the MAF in...

Maybe take it out and relocate it furter down the "baffles" then make a block off plate over the hole left from it and run the nozzle in front of hte TB.

At least what I will attempt to do one day.

Or drill and tap a spare TB

don't you want a dry kit to be in front of the MAF so it takes the reading and adds more fuel. on the bottom of the 99+ throttle body is a square block of aluminum i clamped it into a drill press and shaved that whole section out and tapped the nozzle there. It goes straight in from the bottom.

i put my wet nozzle in front of the maf... no problems at all besides running horribly rich.... like high 9.9-10 A/F... but still was running 13.3 as a best and consistant 13.3-13.5's at 102-104 MPH. i think with some fuel taken out and A?F around 12.0 I could have def. seen some decent 12's... but yea, if you have the ability to tap and rill the TB, do it...

Dry before maf
Wet after

Wet nozzle location:
drill n tap tb
make a tb spacer
direct port

Buy a spare tb from an f body junkyard, they are cheap

I did it... I think mine was 50 bucks?

The metal is VERY soft.

Just a warning.

A good drill bit will cut through it like butter!
