• to purge?...or not to purge?...

those of you who run nitrous...do you purge before you get up to the line?...do you find that you get better traction if you dont purge?...sometimes i get a LITTLE bit of spin if i purge before hand...should i not purge on the line?...or should i purge and address the small traction issue...im just wondering which is better

address your traction. you are obviously making more power if you purge so you will have better times if you get it to hook. try a set of drag radials if you havent yet (255's seem to work well). also when you get the LSD in (i dont know if you have actually put it in yet) you will notice you have better traction due to the power being more evenly dispersed to both wheels.

hmm, 255's alone wouldnt be much of a change but if you get drag radials they grip a lot better, the LSD will help alot though.

Purge it, and fix the traction issue. Your times will be much greater. Try some slicks or something.

Purge shouldn't effect traction much other than it may get nitrous into the engine a "fraction" of a second quicker.

Purge is to get all the Non-nitrous out of the lines for more consistency, so once you start spraying it's 100% nitrous.

            Purge anytime before/as you stage...

get the 255/50/16 BFG's or the new Mickey Thompson drag radials. The nitto's dont hook as good as those two.

FYI if you dont know this alread drag radials wont last very long if you use them every day. they are very soft so they grip well but they also waste away quicker as well. If you get them get an extra set of rear rims for them to use exclusively for the track or you will be going through expensive tires very quickly. put them on before you go to the track and take them off when you get home.

Exactly, it allows the liquid nitrous to be all the way up by the solenoids.

W/O a purge, the nitrous hit might not be as violent off the line.

Also, consistency is improved by purging.

And, it looks really cool too

cool ...then i will continue to purge and address the traction issue...i dont think im going to use drag radials since its my daily driver...but im definitely looking into wider tires...the LSD goes in on wednesday...then i can play with the air pressure and practice some launches and maybe stalling higher with the LSD...if i can hook really nice on a 125 shot it will be a very good thing
