Actually, when they wired up the bottle heater, they wired it to the cigarette lighter (always hot) and they forgot to turn it off. I took a couple hours for the bottle to pop. There also a reason why the safety valve didn't pop but I don't remember why. Notice the bottle in the pic is missing the hand valve. Ouch!

Note that if there wasn't gas in the tank, it [the car] would have only been ripped to shreds, most likely not burned.

The car isn't burned. It's just a bad pic. I couldn't make it any larger. The car was in the garage when it happened. That's why there is no garage door on the garage. :D
