    How to calculate temperature drop?

    Does anyone know how to calculate how much heat you can remove from the intake charge using nitrous?

    For instance, you have intake temps of 160F, how much would a 50 shot cool that down? How about an 85. Dry shot.

    i've heard nitrous can cool the intake temp up to 75* ...but i dont know how much for a specific shot [img]smile.gif[/img]

      i was looking at a 30 shot for when the turbo setup is done but i dont know how much it would help. I was thinking a 30 shot for the intake and then get a spray bar for the intercooler to get it nice and cold. i think it would be a pretty drastic change just with the 30 shot.

        Somebody must have logged a nitrous run and noticed how much their intake temps changed?

          If nothing comes of this I MAY do some testing this spring.

          I have jets for 50-70-85-95-100-120-150 I can probably log and see what results come of it!

            I wish I could help you but my IAT sensor is in front of my nitrous injector (wet kit)so it will not record the temp drop. Someone with a dry kit and a program to record IAT should be able to figure this out with no problem. Good luck.

              I've witnessed air intake temperatures drop 80 degree's

              I should do it again to see wet kit temp change... should be that much... dry is better
