  • can purging be used as a vehicle location device?

LOL i know what ur thinking ..."wtf is he talking about.." but i just had an awesome idea...

maybe i can hook up the purge to my keyless entry!! YES!!! THATS A ****ING GREAT IDEA!!!!!! i have recently done the progressive door lock bypass mod, so i have an extra 12v power source that can be activated by hitting the unlock button twice, ill just splice that into my purge solenoid hot wire and when i hit the unlock button twice, PWWOOOSSHH!!!!.. i wonder how long it will go for though... hmmm maybe a relay of sorts is needed... and i wonder how often i will leave the bottle hooked up... is there any danger in leaving the bottle hooked up? forever? does it wear out the lines or stetch them or anything? tell me its safe... lol

it can also be a funny think to watch, if i ever catch the kitty sitting on my hood again.... maybe if im lucky i can give him a shot of frostbite on his belly... thatll keep him off for good.... i better teach him that lesson BEFORE i get my hood painted.... ugh... cats...

Sounds like a pretty expensive way to do the same thing as setting the alarm off via the panic button. Im sure it could be done though Probably need a relay.

well i know it could be done and yes of course the panic button gives you the beep, but what would be cooler than to have th visual. besides, i was just being funny about the using it to find your car... the real cool part about it would be that you could purge from outside of your car just for show

I have seen new purge kits that light up the spray with LED's when it purges, that'll be a crowd pleaser, and you can find your car in the dark too :D

Yea, my old alarm in my S10 had a 12V on/off switch option, all you did was run the current for whatever source you wanted through the brain of the alarm, and hit the button, and presto, its on. Problem is its not a momentary switch like a purge needs to be, so you have to hit it once and the purge would turn on, then hit it again and the purge would turn off, you can just hold the switch.

But i dunno if id leave the bottle on just chillin in a parking lot. Up to you....

            itll work tho.

Yes.... it can be done... but would be expensive.

Might as well have a CO2 kit for that.

and why expensive? all i would have to do is run a lenght of wire from my source and splice it into my purge hot positive wire... hows that expensive? or do you mean by the nitrous i would be wasting lol.... i guess that could get expensive... ur right... maybe i should get two bottle setup one with c02 and one with nitrous and only use the nitrous one when im actually goint to spray... hopefully i dont get them mixed up lol...ok so if i get two bottles then seriously, can you put c02 into a nitrous bottle?

CO2 kits can be purchased..... like the cryo kits out there.

As for expensive..... puirging nitrous... it aint cheap

this cryo kit sounds expensive... i would rather have another nitrous bottle to hook up that can hold a lot of co2 for my "show-purging" needs... then i can just purge for performance when necessary.... what should be the first major upgrades to my internals if i were to step up the shot later on? heads? rods....what?
