all i need to know is that, furing WOT, what RPMS does the transmission shift from 1-2 and from 2-3 then ill set my window switch +200 rpms more than the 1-2 shift and -200 less than the 2-3 shift, which would make the nitrous come on 200 rpms after it shifts to second and 200 rpms before it shifts to third. doesnt that make sense?

i'm not positive but in first you'll still be hiting those rpms, as well as in third and fourth if I understand you correctly. Right?

^150 huh?...what kind of times do you run with that?...i just moved from a 100 to a 120...but gotta wait for the track to open to see the results (with the weight reduction, intense PCM, and 3.42 LSD too)

Dont know yet, my transmission blew up shortly after I hit a TV, Since Ive been spraying the 150, I havent been to the track.

On my 100 shot I ran a 13.8 with a 2.6 with open 3.23's spraying out of the hole. If I were to get the 60' down to a 1.9 it would be a 12 second run without a doubt.

                  Back to topic.

I was just looking at one of my HP Tuners log files. It takes me .2 seconds to shift gears and I know an Auto does it even faster. Trying to not spray during shifts will be very hard. A lot of Sh*t is going on at 100 mph.

However, if you really want to do this, I might have a solusion. I do not have an Auto so I can not find which values to use or test this but I bet it would work.

HP Tuners has the ability to log a lot of data. It can also output a signal based on that data. I am sure there is a value, "Delivered Trans Torque" comes to mind, that would be low during shifts. If you set this up so a relay would activate during high values (in gear) and deactivate during low values (shifting), you should be able to stop spraying while shifting.

Someone with HP Tuners and an Auto would have to log a bunch of the Transmission PIDs to find one that indicates shifting. If one could be found, this would work.

Of course, you would need a laptop in your car while spraying NO. Just an idea.

Ok, so.... you ONLY want to spray in 2nd gear?

And, you want to know what the max rpm is in 2nd gear you can spray nitrous safely?

Ok, go out to car, start it up, find a nice quiet open road, floor it. Tell us what rpm you go to, when you are WOT, just before you shift into third gear.

Then, per the rpm, which is about 5,900 rpm's, decide to cut the nitrous out around 5,700 rpm's

You actually could answer your own question

i am seeing that perhaps ill just set my window from 3500 to 5700 and if i dont want to spray during shifts, ill just wait for the auto to shift, and then ill flip the master switch on... or i can just arm it and spray through first, i duno what ill do but i think i need to stop being a wuss about it haha, but still be smart..

The window switch shut the fuel and nitrous solinoids off during that window!!

If you're saying that the window switch shuts off the solonoids during shifts, you're wrong. It reads the RPM's, and during the shifts, your RPM's will always be inside the window.

i know that it wont shut it off during the shift, im saying ill set it to an RPM before it shifts, then it will shut off the solenoid, the rpms will continue to rise to the point where the tranny shifts and then drops it back into the window, and the power will be supplied to the solenoid once more.

                                Hey, I just noticed something....

Someone who "Lives like they were dying" wouldn't worry about spraying during shifting...heck, you might not even live through it!

j/k Good luck with the project.
