• PURGE VIDEO!!

OK, heres the deal, i plumbed it up for out the nostrils yesterday, heres that vid...

http://home.att.net/~darkecho/NOStrils.avi

then i spent all day today purging at people, got a mustang GT to race me lol (actually he just left me behind, i knew that without the nitrous hooked up, i would just get my *** handed to me)
and even a little vtech ricer dude wanted to get some, but i didnt even bother with him lol, i just purged all over the place and left LOL...

anyways, i got home tonight and decided to try purging out the firehawk (or Politically Correct, Superhawk) hood heat extractors, and heres that video...

http://home.att.net/~darkecho/Portpurge.avi

help me choose which one looks better/will function better

pros and cons that i see now are:

Nostrils:
Pro- easier to route and angle, looks cool
Con- good chance of it blowing into intake when purging and moving (not good if im not prepared for it) and its not very visible except from the front

Extractors:
Pro- looks pretty cool, visible to almost everyone, wont blow into intake, and can purge while moving.
Con- harder to route (small spaces to work with), harder to angle, not as "beastly" as the snorting effect...

in both videos, the tubes arent angled very well, it was a test and i was impatient so just imagine them being straighter and tell me what you guys think!!!!

thanks all, i would have postd in the appearance but i would rather hear the advice of nitrous users :-D

i am waiting on parts still so thats why i havent done the rest of the install..

oh and the bottle is between the back seats ... i cut a slit in the bottom of a gym bag to slip over it, so it looks like a gym bag in the back (less harassment by cops and possibly a theft reducer lol)

feedback!!!

i like the nostrils..i was thinking about running my purge there...you can angle them up and out so you can still see it..they still look cool..and it wont go in your intake..even if it did its such a small amount it wouldnt matter

BTW..i still woulda taken the GT ;)

if you cant see the vids you might need to install the divx codec, very common these days for videos, so if not for my vids, i would get it just so you can see a lot of other videos..

i think i like the nostrils best too... just because its got attitude, its original and creative... only issue.... and today i tried copper tubing with no better luck...

i need to develope some sort of stationary thing to spray out of, because the pipes are crooked and the streams arent coming out even... for now, at least, they both seem to be of pretty even lenght... but i need to get the freaking pipes parallel...

nostrils for sure. I love how mean it looks as if it is blowing smoke. I seen a vid of a firebird purging out the nostrils on ricers and it was great.

Copper tubing has always worked very well for me.

If nostrils is what you like... do it.... and put red led's near the purge location

ZACTLY!!!! I coined that term a while ago and thought it was tight

the nostrils will be done, the cool thing is that at night when you would need the LEDs, the headlights light up the nitrous pretty well.... i still havent found a good way to make both sides purge evenly, and in the right angle...

ill come up with something... i need to talk to someone who has done it....

JAMEs! that guy on BBB racing had a video of himself purging on a NEon, Gene and his firehawk i believe, (the link for the video doesnt work anymore howeveR)..... anyway to contact him? AOL screen name?

-- bottle pressure and purge line diameter are going to determine the spray, in my experience.

Humidity and temperature are MAJOR factors.

The more humid and colder the temp the more visible the cloud!

Next time it is snowing out or it is raining and is kinda cold out hit the purge
