You should really take a good look at a built tranny. Get a pretty high stall and strong internals and it will easily knock a few tenths off your 1/4 miles times.

Best of luck..... sometimes I think you toss around a lot of idea's and MANY parts..... I am curious to see how this goes.
Seat time will be VERY benificial for you.

yeah i've been through several setups trying to get what i was after..either i didnt get the results i was expecting..they were bad for my car..or i just personally didnt like them..i was kind of frusterated for a bit i guess..as far as nitrous goes this kit is where its gonna stay..i plan on staying on just this for a while and perfecting/tuning/driving a lot with it before i even possibly add a blower to it again 12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

well..theres a problem..the jets for the NOSzle kit are not made the same way as regular jets..due to a ferule used to hold in the high pressure line..they are made sort of..concave..then the ferule sits sort of inside of it right up against it..i'll try to get a shot of them..so i dont even know if i could run a 125 shot anyway..they may simply not make the jets for a V6 kit..they only include 100, 150, 175..so i'll be starting with a 100..i dont believe i want to go as high as 150 anyway..i think eventually id like to move to a 125 ..so tomorrow i have to call NOS tech to see if they make 125 NOSzle jets for a V6..but im doubting it..
anyways..to answer your question..for suspension i have spohn front & rear sway bars (32/21 i think), STB, rksport LCAs, pan hard rod, all poly bushings, poly tranny mount, and for wheels/tires i'll be running the weld pro stars on the rear wrapped in M/T ET streets12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

Get a TQ arm... and poly TQ arm mount... and sub frames
NOS will have a middle shot... like a 125..... jets are pretty much universal... the NOSzle kit may have specific jets for this system... but they will have different shot levels....Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

yeah i was thinking of a TQ arm..and i was actually just talking with a couple guys about SFCs..thanks for the info about the 125 shot..i may just jet it that way to begin with..after working with it last night im not so sure how small of a job its going to be to re-jet it after its already in..due to lack of room back there its gonna be a PITA!
EDIT - i just called NOS and they said they're called "funnel jets" ..which i know they sell in all sizes like you were saying..and the guy gave me the #s for N2O/FUEL

^ haha..well damn i guess that settles it then lol ..i dunno..maybe in the future..i know my car can take a 125 shot because i've jetted it for it with my dry kit..granted thats different than a wet kit as far as torque and the way it handles the fuel..but i believe it can handle the power..im really not sure if i wanna push a 150 though..i have to log a few 125 shots and see whether to drop it to a 100..or if i can increase it to a 150..but i really want to log some runs and get it really well tuned first..maybe i'll bust out a 150 at A S S ;)12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

woohoo! ..so..since i'll be running the lines myself..as well as all the assembly..and doing some of the wire work/hooking up the progressive controller..pretty much all the shop has to do is pop the fuel rail and put the NOSzles on for me (which i could probably do myself..but would rather not)..so i take the kit and car to the shop tomorrow and hopefully they'll be able to get me in sooner
EDIT...
UPDATE: got the progressive controller today and put a pic of it with the rest of my pics...its pertty sweet..i think that will be mounted next to the air box..i also mounted the solenoids..wish i could get a pic of them..one on each side of the upper intake just before it says "3800II"..it looks AWESOME..went to the shop today and they just have to run the lines and hook up the NOSzles..popping the fuel rail and all..but the ppointment is still 3/10 ..then i'll just wire the stuff (easy) and it'll be time to test it all out

yeah im not gonna be able to go 150 without another pump..i think i'll see good stuff on the 125 though..i posted a pic of the controller in my updated pics..its pretty small..its probably about 4" wide, 3" long, and about an inch thick..im not wiring everything till its all done because the relay goes to the controller..and then everything get wired out of the controller..its pretty cool 12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.
