Hey guys I'm new here. I bought a nitrous express wet kit for my car. It is installed I just have to wire it tomorrow. I was wondering what a good plug to use was. I have the stock 3.8 I am anxious to see how it runs. Thanks for any input.
Those are some pics of the kit partially installed. Any of you guys using the wet kit with the tps WOT switch? The shop installing it here told me it will not work with my car. I picked it up today, and it at least purges, but he said it isn't working right. I was wondering if any of you guys use it.
the WOT switch is the same wet, dry, or direct port..it can just barely be seen in this picture mounted to the metal piece thats hiding under the red hose going to the right side of the air box..i would also mount the nozzle in between the MAF and the throttle body..im not sure why NX tells you to mount it before the MAF..but i wouldnt spray mine with wet fuel! You have a wet kit.... you need to drill and tap the throttle body..the nozzle should be mounted after the maf.
As for the WOT switch...... you don't have an outside throttle body wire correct? The option then is to have a pressure switch mounted to the bottom of the gas pedal.... We have discussed it here... try a search... if further problems arise... let us know

everyone keeps on saying after the maf.. Why?? I have been spraying a wet kit on my car for 2 years and have the nozzle drilled into my airbox.. I have put 65 bottles through my car and its still the same maf that has been on the car since it was made.. My car has 125,000 miles on it.. I started with a 50 shot then 75, 90 and a 125 shot.. Never had a backfire that was due to the nitrous.. all my backfires have been from missing gears and hitting the rev limiter..

i know we have several members that do..i've just always been told never to spray wet fuel on the MAF..so instead i went around it all together :D ..i would guess that spraying a wet kit before the MAF wouldnt be a good idea because it could make you run rich..which could hurt your performance..you are already adding the fuel by spraying it through the intake via the fogger nozzle..but when the cold dense nitrous flows past the MAF its going to tell the computer to add more fuel too (somewhat like a dry kit)..just an idea
I would think that spraying in front of the MAF would make the car go rich. This is fine but it is not the best for performance. Has someone installed there wet kit before the MAF and tested the setup with a Wide Band O2 sensor. That would be the only way to tell if what we think would happen actually does.
The maf uses a VERY thin heated metal wire to tell the ECU the mass of air entering the engine.
This in turn adjusts the fuel amount according to the mass of the air entering it.....
Dry kits would spray before it and the sensor would see the extra nitrous + air entering and it would realize MORE fuel is needed (it also does this through a vaccum port which in turn raises the fuel psi at the same time).
Now.... wet kits..... would you want to spray fuel over this thin metal wire which is heated? Not really.... over time.... it DOES cause damage to it.... maybe not right away.... but it WILL eventually.
If you spray the nitrous + fuel + air over the maf you will have erratic readings...
Best thing to do.... put the car on a dyno... watch the air/fuel ratio... watch how the dyno print out will be very jumpy (up and down... basically not a nice smooth curve).
That is probably the best way I can proove to you that for a wet kit... spray after the maf.
I would never steer you guys wrong.
Go to the dyno.... try it out.... I think I might be right on this..I don't want to see anyone have nitrous problems.
I've had both a dry kit and wet kit.....I am quite familiar with both set ups.....
