• New to Nitrous

I'm new to the nitrous forum but not a newbe to this site. I actually got a lot of good advice about modding my car from you guys. Anyway I just recently got the NOS 5175 kit and I will be installing it this spring. I got my kit in the mail but I haven't even opened it yet but I'm itching to get at it. I also picked up a custom grind Comp Cam. Headers will be purchased very soon. Would you guys recommend an aftermarket fuel pump?

excellent! ..good choice..and it looks like you have the supporting mods for it..you'll want those NGKs just re-gapped at .035..what size shot are you planning on running?..right now i have the MSD external pump..its worked fine so far
pros: cheaper and easier to install..and you can have a toggle switch to turn it on and off
cons: not an option for a constant power adder and does not support as much as the Walbro 255lph intank (which i may have to switch to)
since you're going to have a cam..i would recommend the Walbro 255..also..depending on what shot you will be running combined with the cam..since you are going to be running a dry kit..you may want to increase the injector size too..let me know if this answers your question and if you have any others

I was kinda leaning towards a Walbro 255 but I didn't know if it would be a waste of $ or not. I plan on running a 100 shot for now but I want to get all the safety switches first. My car is an auto so I don't know if I'll need the RPM switch or not but I will get the WOT switch. Actually I don't even remember what switches come with the kit.

you will get a WOT switch and a fuel pressure safety switch with the kit..a window (RPM) switch wouldnt hurt either..its just added security..for running a 100 shot on top of the cam i would go with the Walbro 255 and increase the injectors..i would also invest the $20 for the energy suspension poly tranny mount since i can bet you'll go through the rubber stock one in no time
