is this knocking sound coming from your engine (not actually inside the car)..is it there all the time while you are driving?..is it constant?..also..does the SES light show the cylinder 6 misfire all the time?..have you cleared it and it just comes back?

i imagine the first thing to go would be a ring..but im not sure that really makes a knocking sound..could be a rod maybe?...im not sure why your cruise control would be disabled either..you may want to bring this up in advanced tech..but if you are constantly hearing this while the engine is running..it sounds like you have some internal damage and i would NOT run the juice until it is addressed

then why are iridium plugs 5.99-6.99 a piece and Tr6's are 1.59 a piece?? colder copper plugs is what you want to use.. Tr 6's are great plugs and then there are autolight 103's.. both gapped at .035..

yea TR6s are the way to go with nitrous. Check your plugs and maybe buy some TR6s and replace them

NGK TR6 Plugs from the NGK web site:

14mm, .708"(18mm) reach, 5/8" hex, tapered seat, resistor, projected tip, V-power (v-grooved center electrode), .039"gap

NGK's unique V-Power design directs the spark to the edge of the electrode where it develops more rapidly, this increases ignitability even in lean burn conditions. In addition the NGK V-Power plug has all the features of their traditional plugs including corrugated ribs, pure alumina silicate ceramic insulator for greater strength and better heat transfer, copper core and triple interior seal.

Now about the knocking. I would guess either a bent rod or valve. But without hearing it, it would be hard to tell. Start with the plugs, if they look ok, pull the valve cover. If you can check compresion, do it. Good luck.

i think you may actually be able to get them in copper or iridium..i know you can with the others like TR55..either way..i would go with TR6s ..and like arthensen said..definitely a compression test

                          Stop driving the car
                          No more nitrous
Go to shop/ dealer and have it inspected.

As for plugs.... ngk tr6 plugs for nitrous
