im having some trouble deciding whether or not to jet my direct port system for a 100 or a 125 shot..it is going to be a REAL PITA, and cost about $100 in jets alone..to re-jet it after its done..for my application (my mods etc) would a 100 or a 125 shot be best?..what would be the appriximate difference in ET?..is a 125 just going to give me the same results of not worse as a 100 due to traction?..looking for those who have run a 100 and 125 wet shot..thanks!

I ran a 90 shot and a 125 shot.. On the 90 shot I dynoed 292rwhp and 393rwtq.. On the 125 dynoed 328rwhp and 433rwtq.. I say if your going to do it go 125.. Its fun.. You will always have traction issues with anything over a 75 shot..Jeff ..

Why the hell is it $100 in jets?!?!?!?!?!?!
That is @SS raping!
You should start with 100... to get used to it.
As for differences:
100 shot- stalled to 3000, sprayed at 3100, spun
60 ft 1.58
ET 12.1
125 shot- stalled 2800, sprayed around 60 ft mark
60 ft 1.76
ET 12.1
Same ET... different shot level.
100 shot was awesome launch spraying off the line and spinning
125 shot was launch N/A... run for a bit to the 60 ft mark and then hit the nitrous.
My car is ALL launch and 60.Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

Tough call. I think with the M/T ET Street Radials you will get better traction then you think. When my 100 shot hits at 3500 rpms, the M/T do not break loose with my setup. I say go with the 125, that is what I would use if I had the direct port.2001 Firebird 3.8L V6 M5,
It once had....
NX Nitrous Wet Kit, ZZP X-P Hot Cam,
3.42 LSD, Pacesetter Headers,
36# Injectors, HP Tuners
322 RWHP, 379 RWTQ
13.596 @ 102.56 w/100 shot

He is still VERY new to nitrous.
When I say new...... very small amount of passes down the 1/4 w/ nitrous... and never dyno tuned on the bottle.
100 max... get some seat time and dyno time... and go from there.Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

125. 85shot+4psi/or40horse=125 which is what you had with the blower/juice combo. This shouldn't even be a question. Do it right the FIRST TIME. 2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph

yeah its approximately $100 because of the direct port setup..i need 12 JETS just to change shot level..but hopefully..it'll be worth it
i was thinking of my old setup as apposed to my new one..i should be able to get the same amount of horses to the rear wheels..however..the car weighs 200lbs. less, i have an aluminum DS, now have a 3.42 LSD, tuned PCM and farther tuning ability, and most of all..to address my weakest point..the M/Ts with an adjustable torque arm added to my suspension to address traction issues
i guess it wouldnt be that big of a deal to change the jets..just a PITA..i just want to see what everyones opinions are..im wondering on my car..with the EXACT levels of nitrous/fuel delivered directly into each cylinder..what a 100 shot will deliver anyway12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

100 shot DP > 100 shot wet > 100 shot Dry
The MOST HP and TQ will be gained from the direct port system. Each cylinder will recieve the EXACT same amount of nitrous + fuel for better over all performance gain
Much safer also.Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

niiiiiiiiiice..the HIGHEST id ever go is 125..no matter what the ET is i wouldnt be going over that anyway..so i'll start with a 100 shot since i can always go to that anyway..i may also be checking out a stall converter..that way i can run less juice on the engine and probably still hit my goal..if i didnt hit 12s with a 100 DP shot and a 3200 - 3600 stall (with practice) id be VERY surprised
James..i read somewhere where you said you saw a gain of 136 rwhp from a 100 shot..did i read something wrong?..is it possible i too could see higher than 100 rwhp gain while jetted for a 100 shot?12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

I'd get 75, 100, 125 shot, use the 75 shot to get kinks worked out and up it little by little and see if you need to tweak the fuel any for each shot.
Its 8 jets for $25, and I think if you order more then 8 you get a discount.-Eric
2000 NBM V6 Camaro 5-speed T-top converted
14.467@95.45mph $0 in mods
The member formerly known as MustangEater8251
