So I'm finally getting around installing my NX kit so I can spray at the Shootout in April. Problem is, I'm not very keen on auto electrical systems. I'm having trouble trying to find the right wires to splice into for both under the hood and inside the car. Also, how do you run wires and the nitrous hoses from inside the car into the engine compartment? I've heard there is a hole or something in the firewall which everyone routes there's but can someone give me a little insight as to exactly where that might be? I don't wanna tear up my interior trying to install this stuff, so any help, especially pics would be very much appreciated.

you should really get a Hayne's manual just to have the wiring diagrams..the way mine is set up..the arming switch is spliced into whats called an "only while hot" wire..which means it only has electrical currect while the car is running (or in the "run" position)..if you unscrew the panel by your knees you will find a fat pink wire in the harness thats pretty much right there in front of you when you take that panel off..the wires can then pass through the firewall through several holes on the driver's side..my main nitrous feed line actually goes down through the floor..then is tightly wire tied along the floor of the car up to the engine compartment..as for the 30 amp relay..mine is mounted into the driver's side strut tower and uses the driver's side accessory battery terminal for power12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

Where is your bottle being mounted? There are two spots that are great for feeding your nitrous line out of. The first is under each back seat. There are little plugs in holes there. That is where I have mine going out of and then I ziptied it along the bottom of the car to the engine bay.
There is also a plug hole in the back by the spare tire where people mount the bottles. Either way works great feeding the nitrous out those holes.

I just followed the picture diagrams that came with my kit. Do you have the instructions/diagrams for the kit yet? They were pretty self explainatory and color coded for each. Very easy to follow with labels and all as well.

I could possibly get some scans of my instructions, but it wouldn't be until I go home this weekend. Let me know if you need the diagrams of the wiring that came with my kit.

my cardomain.com site doesn't allow me to edit it anymore for some reason, so I will make a new website using frontpage and 50megs.com and post the nitrous wire diagrams on that then. Give me a day or two.
I have the scans already, just need to upload them onto the net now.

Well, I got the cardomain.com site to work finally, here are the scans of the wiring. For the hot wires to splice into, I used my radio hot wire, but you could also wire it to the fuse box in the side panel and put a fuse in there that way to. Here are the scans:
These also can be seen on my website in my sig. I guess the image feature on the forum here isn't working. Check my site for the scans.
