  • Dynoed/ video

Well I just got finished dynoing.. I hooked the kit back up on Saturday and sprayed 1/2 a bottle through it on sunday and boy did it pull like a mother.. So yesterday I bought a new bottle warmer and today went to dyno.. I dynoed on a Dynojet, the only dyno I trust.. The 1st couple of pulls were on motor and it didnt put down $hit really.. 225rwhp 225 rwtq with a a/f 10.8- 11.0.. I need to get my car tuned with a programer and get my rev limiter raised to 6700.. The maft plus just dont cut it anymore.. That was at 8 percent lean at wot.. The car didnt want to stop pulling at 5600.. Then I warmed up the bottle to 1100 psi.. I still have the 125 shot jets in it.. well the first nitorus pull was really bad.. It hit hard at 3000rpms but right at 4000 it just started to serge.. I only put down 315rwhp and 389rwtq.. I said well that sucks my car on the stock motor put out more power then that.. So I purged and nothing but air.. Then I looked back at my bottles and I forgot to switch them out before we dynoed.. So I strapped in the new full bottle and cut on the warmer.. I got the pressure up to 900 psi and said screw it lets make the pull.. So we ran it and boy does the motor love the nitrous.. It put down 366rwhp and 415 rwtq.. But the best part was that the tq and hp stays up there all the way to rev limiter at 5600 rpm.. It was also only at 900psi... I cant wait to get it up to 1200 psi.. The airfuel was so rich that the dyno didnt even read it from 4000-5600..

So on my stock motor with the 125 shot at 1200 psi I put down 312rwhp and 433rwtq but the tq fell off after 4000 rpms ending at 250 ftlbs at 5600 and 220 hp at 5600.. That was pretty good tune on it too with a a/f 11.8-12.2..

On this motor with the same shot I put down 366 rwhp and 415 rwtq but the tq is over 400 ftlbs from 3000- 5000 and from 5000-5600 its over 350 ftlbs and the Hp doesnt fall off really at all.. This was also at only 900 psi and with a a/f in the low 9's on a stock tune.. I have the video of the good pull and will try to post it tonight when I get off of work..

wow 366rwhp and 417rwtq, that is some good stuff. Now you just need to get some track times with the setup.

I need to get the car tuned.. I think I can get close to 400 rwhp and 450 rwtq with the 125 shot with 1200psi and a good a/f in the mid to high 11's..

Yea use HP tuners or DHP and get that thing tuned for your cam, heads, intake, and nitrous. Should be close to 400.

          Nice numbers.

I am getting mine dynoed in 8 days and we will have to compare notes.

One think I have seen and I know the dyno will show is that there is some sort of limiter on my car that kills power over 6000 rpms. It does not cut fuel or spark. All those limiters have been raised above 6400. This is something different. I saw it last time on the dyno but I was maxing my injectors at 5300 rpms so the HP stopped climbing at 5300. However, at 6000 the hp just dropped of the chart. I mention this because you talk about going to 6700 rpms. Even with HP Tuners programing, if your PCM is like mine, it will do no good to go over 6000.

Once I have the second dyno, I will be posting on HPTuners.com to try to get them to look at this and figure out what is causing this.

          However, with all that said.....

          Nice numbers!

Cool thanks for the input.. I wont shift above 5600 when I get my pcm reprogamed with the nitrous.. the only time I will shift ove 5600 is on motor..

yeah that was the uncorrected graph.. It was 366 corrected and the same tq and when we corrected the graph the wavy lines got smoother.. If you also notice the rpm readings on the cpu screen were off by a 1000 rpms also.. That was fixed too.. If I can find a scaner I can scan the printouts and post them as well.. The graph was wavy also due to how rich I was running.. If you notice on the vid the car sorta surged when the initial hit went.. Thats when the a/f dipped into the low 9's.. The from 4000-5600 it stayed in the high 9's- low 10's..
