• prog. controller to decrease backfires?

im curious..the higher the shot the more chance you have of a backfire..so..if you ran a 125 - 150 shot with a progressive controller..and set it so that you ran a 100 shot off the line..and the extra 25 - 50 over say the next 5 seconds..would this decrease the chance of a backfire since by the the time you are at the 125 - 150 level you are at higher gears/rpms instead of all at once off the line?..would you see the same results with a dual stage system..or would it really not make a difference?..just curious..i do not plan to run that high on my car.....yet ;)

That is what I was thinking. It makes sence. I plan on getting a progressive controller eventually.

I also think it will put less strain on the entire system. I think ramping up to a 125 shot from 75 would be less stress then a sudden 125 hit.

sweeeeet..you should check out ebay..theres a guy on there selling one thats basically brand new for $200..i dont have the dough cuz im doing a couple other things now..im wondering if this is why you would also see less backfires when you combine a wet shot with boost..a SC specifically..because by the time you inject you have SO MUCH air coming in..anyways..i think im going to be getting another progressive controller in the future

Increased velocity in the engine would decrease chances of puddling which would decrease chances of backfires.

So..... hitting X amount of nitrous at a low rpm.... and then MORE nitrous at higher engine rpm's...... and higher velocity... would lessen the chance of nitrous backfire....

        Progressive controler would help!
