  • Solenoids just rebuilt/ flow tested.

Noticed a bit of sputtering/ loss of mph last time out so since I wasn't racing I sent them out.

On the TNT fittings due to a 37 degree angle I do not need to use any teflon paste... per TNT... so I shall not use it anymore. This is for the area right around the solenoids.

    Nitrous solenoid checked out fine.

Fuel solenoid..... plunger experienced swelling again.

He asked if I was using any octane booster, I said no.

He mentioned nitromethane causes swelling of plunger. I told him TNT tech informed me this last time and no longer use it.

He told me..... 98% of public have no problems with fuel. 2 % of public can get fuel from a gas station that uses slight nitromethane.... hmm weird huh? For $19 I can get a "black plunger" which is a different grade material of plunger which is resistant to nitromethane.

This does not mean I will use octane boosters w/ nitromethane... but it helps me out.

Now I gotta figure out which gas station it was!!!!

So, the fuel solenoid will be rebuilt w/ "black plunger" and I'll have everything back in 3-4 business days.

    Learn something new everyday.

that is some interesting info about the gas situation. Going to be tough to figure out though unless you go to the same gas station each time to fill up when you are going to use nitrous
