howdy-
i currently have a dry setup wit hone nozzle in the side of the airbox, but want to use a tee-fitting after the solenoid and spray into both sides of the box form two jet spray nozzles. how would i go about doing this? would i need the same size jets in both nozzles? or one bigger and one smaller? anyone ever had this type of setup?
use a tee fitting out of the nitrous solenoid..then use two hoses..one for each nozzle..you have to divide the total shot you want by two ..so if you are running a 100 shot..you would put a 50 shot into each nozzle..or if you want more to come from one side and less from another..make one side a 75 shot and another side a 25 shot..i do not run dual nozzles but i have played a bit with my dual stage setup..but since i do not usually have trouble with spin up to a 175 shot..i found i run faster on the single stage..however..if i wanted to run a 200 shot..i would run a 175 in the first stage..and a 25 in the second
wow...i wasnt planning on going that high on the shot....yet
ok, thats how i thoughtit worked, but i wanted to be sure, you never know, adn i dont wanna blow/melt anything because i still have to drive this car everywhere too.
oh, and it was going to be a single stage, nothing too complicated
thanks for the help! ill let yall know howit turns out if i do do it. (have spare TB assembly rady to be tapped, but im still debating the dual nozzle or drill n tap...)
..no problem ..i see you have a 99 ..if you're running a dry kit..the nozzles must be in the air box because they must be BEFORE the MAF sensor..i believe the NOS kit# 5175 directions show that you can put the nozzle in the TB because they show an installation on a 3.4 ..which has no MAF sensor..the 3.8s do..so on a 3.8 the dry nozzle must be before the MAF..on a wet kit they must be driled and tapped into the TB AFTER the MAF but before the TB blade
well, this is definitely what i am going to do if i get a backfire and blow out my MAF among other things (i just drilled out my 2nd TB housing today for a wet kit...thanks eric), so i have an extra one handy. kinda conveninent if you ask me...
ill post pics, but im sure itll be nothing new... ;)
