  • doing nitrous...what to expect?

i purchased a new NX kit with purge, bottle heater and all the safety equipment. im going to start with a 50 shot and go up from there. performance wise all i have done to the car is intake, exhaust, and now the nitrous. what kind of times can i expect out of the 50 shot? the 75 shot? BTW the car is a 99 3.8 A4 non Y87.

if its a wet kit..a 50 shot usually takes off about a second in the 1/4 ..75 shot around 1.5 seconds..something like that..assuming everything is working properly

that is just a guess. it depends on how much knock retart your car has. when i put the 100 shot in my car and my psi was up to 1000 the dyno showed that i was only getting about 70 hp out of the shot when i should have gotten 100hp. you need to get a hp tuner and you will be golden
