• Install Questions.

Well, my kit has finally arrived! We're installing it this weekend. I was looking around on here for nozzle locations, but see that most people have pics of their air lid setups on 98+ cars. I was wondering, being as the general rule of thumb is to keep the nozzle farther away from the TB, where do you guys with 95-97 with SLP cai have your nozzle tapped into? I was thinking the best would be about 14 inches from the center of the TB or so. Does that sound about right?

Also I was wondering if anyone had any pics of how their WOT switch was mounted. I dont really see good spot to put the bracket on. Do you have to drill and tap the side of your TB so that you can put a scew in that will hold it right? Thanks

If you don't want to drill your SLP intake, I had mine in the corner of the elbow and it worked fine.

first off is it a wet or dry kit? That makes the difference of where it goes.

Dry, NOS 5175, sorry, I had that listed in my other thread.

Threaded into the rubber elbow? How well does the fitting stay in? You can't really tap it or anything can you?

yup..put it in the rubber elbow..i think there are some pics on James's home page..the kit comes with these parts:

13710-S - Nozzle Mounting Collar
13711-S - Nozzle Mounting Nut

..use these..one on the nozzle on each side of the elbow to "thread" the nozzle into the elbow

Thanks guys, I got half of the install done last night, all I have left to do is wire everything, find a place for that WOT switch, and put in the nozzle, and I should be good. I mounted the bottle in my spare tire wheel well. I was almost worried for a bit; it looked like I wasn't going to have enough nitrous line to make it back to my bottle, but I just barely had enough! Other than that everything looks good so far.

I'll put the nozzle in the rubber elbow, thanks for the replies guys.

Alright, I really need your guys' help, because now I'm stuck. I can't figure out how the fuel pressure switch is supposed to be installed. It in the instructions to remove the fuel rail test port fitting, but you can't, the fuel rail test port fitting isn't a nut that can simply be backed out, it's an actual peice of how the tube is bent.

And then is says to remove the schrader fitting from the test port. I can see the schrader valve there, but I have absolutly no clue how to take it out, I dont want to simply take some needle nose pliers and break it or anything.

Can you guys please help me out? I'm so lost!

Red, thanks so much for that, I hadn't come across those threads in my search. I think that really all I have to do (please correct me if I'm wrong!), is grab a tool for taking out valve stems, and take out the schrader valve from the test port on the fuel rail, then install the 90* elbow fitting and attatch that to my FPSS correct?

^ that is correct ..once you have it on..the FPSS is just like the solenoids..nothing more than a circuit that you open and close..so it doesnt matter which wire is possitive and negative..although i think it comes with black and red wires anyway

yup, just get a tool to take out the stem like a normal tire valve.

Looks like all has been discussed.

Go into rubber elbow.... although farthest point away from TB the better with dry kits.

FPSS..... get a schrader valve tool and remove it....

Get pics
