both are supposed to increase the octane level up to 7 points..so if im running 93 pump gas..does that mean it can actually take it up to 100 octane???

    7 points means .7.

93 octane becomes 93.7. It's just a scam to get you to waste money.

bastards!..race fuel it is then..im thinking 100+ octane with a much lower AFR will be very nice for my 150 shot :D

i did find one company who's additive actually will take you from 93 to 104! ..but it was like $30 for a little bottle..i'll save my money and wait in the pump line

Soem gas stations have higher octane. There is a station in Irvine that sells 105 octane, but its like $5 a gallon LOL
Be sure you get all of that old fuel out of your lines before you start messing with anything :D

yeah! ..thats the stuff i was talking about..some other place was charging a LOT more..only problem is this..

"This product not yet recommended for the L36."

higher octane is higher octane..why would it not work on the L36??

NOS silver bottle has nitro methane in it.... it causes swelling of the nitrous plunger.

                  Don't get it.

Back down the shot.... you aren't seeing those gains.... I run on pump gas 93/94.... and sometimes may add a couple gallons of 100 octane cam 2 at the track.... only on hot days

What is your A/F ratio with a 150 Dry shot? You might want to have it checked before you blow something up. Just to be on the safe side.

He needs to go to a dyno and wideband tune it

There is a place down the road from me that has 110 octane cam 2. Its only 4 bucks a gallon wich isnt to outragious. What would happen if I filled my tank with it? or is this too high for a stock engine?

no, but as I said in the octane boosters thread, it would be pretty pointless. the higher octane fuel is formulated to take on higher temperatures/pressures without premature detonation; this is ideal for engines with power adders, such as turbochargers, superchargers, and nitrous. The only upside to higher octane fuels is that they contain solvents which also clean your engine and fuel injectors, but you'd be better off using dedicated products like Chemtool, STP, etc. ... or acetone, like I and a few other daring (and smart;) souls in here do.
