It's possible but I think you may need a standalone setup like FAST that way you can program into the computer when you hit the nitrous to add more fuel.<b>Black</b> 1998 Pontiac <i>Firebird</i> A-4 swap<br />271.4rwhp/259.4rwtq NA<br />13.30@102.44 <br /><a href=\"http://www.freewebs.com/wickedsix98\" target=\"_blank\">www.freewebs.com/wickedsix98</a>

im playing with a tune right now that has a lower AFR and adds more fuel in on the PE vs RPM vs Time table..how would you use a standalone setup on a dry kit?<b>12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO<br /><a href=\"http://www.mysickcamaro.50megs.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com</a><br />Best ET: 12.82@103<br />Best MPH: 104.7<br />Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC</b><br /> </font><blockquote><font size=\"1\" face=\"Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif\">quote:</font><hr /><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Originally posted by Shodown:<br /><strong>1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said. </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif\">

someone mentioned that my MAF coulda gone bad because of the huge amount of nitrous i was spraying over it..they had heard of people burning theirs out that way..although im back to the 150 shot now..thats why i asked about just running it in speed density..right now i have the car running in speed density with the 102 code stripped out until my new MAF gets here and it runs REALLY well<b>12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO<br /><a href=\"http://www.mysickcamaro.50megs.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com</a><br />Best ET: 12.82@103<br />Best MPH: 104.7<br />Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC</b><br /> </font><blockquote><font size=\"1\" face=\"Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif\">quote:</font><hr /><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Originally posted by Shodown:<br /><strong>1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said. </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif\">

Sigh, 100 shot.... run through MAF.... there is a core charge on new maf's.... you get $50 off if you give the old one in.... I've given destroyed ones to the dealer and they accept them Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

I do not believe SD will work with a dry shot (or for that matter a wet shot). The reason is Nitrous Oxide does not register on the MAP sensor like air does. With a large increase in air (such as with a supercharger) the MAP will read the extra air as an increase in pressure. However, liquid NO (or even slightly gasous nitrous) will not show an increase in MAP. SD is dependent on two sensors. The intake Air Temperature (IAT) and Manifold Air Pressure (MAP). It uses those two readinging to calculate airflow. Of course, that is based on air. Even if you passed the Nitrous over the IAT sensor, it would think it was air and would calculate wrong. Even if you adjusted the tables for Nitrous, what would happen during NA driving?
No, SD will not work with a Dry Nitrous shot.
Now wet might work but I will tell you that you will have to adjust a few other tables as well. I konw this cause I tried. The car did great for about 1 second then it through the P1514 code and went into limp mode. P1514 tells the PCM that the calculated airflow is WAY off (as it should be since you are putting lots of extra air and fuel into the system that it does not know about).
Just use the MAF.2001 Firebird 3.8L V6 M5,<br />It once had....<br />NX Nitrous Wet Kit, ZZP X-P Hot Cam, <br />3.42 LSD, Pacesetter Headers, <br />36# Injectors, HP Tuners<br />322 RWHP, 379 RWTQ<br />13.596 @ 102.56 w/100 shot
