well, im trying to figure out if i should get a retard system or msd or somthing, i have my 75 shot nitrous working prety good right now, but my friend told me to tune it so i dont harm somthing, the directions to the kit say like at 75 shot tweak timing at 4 degrees, how the hell do you do that or what can i do to bypass it, im all ears for sugestions

you can get it scanned, but our cars handle a 75 shot pretty well on the stock tune.
Scan it and if you're not running lean/knocking you don't need to adjust anything.
matf+, mini-afc, MSD DIS-4, and Crane Timing retard module will all retard timing, but it probably isn't needed.
Also the Tuning packages of course will retard timing, for a 96 if you don't want to swap to a 97 PCM DHP is your only option. -

75 shot don't worry about tuning, 100 shot is borderline, a lot of guys run it on stock tuning, but it can only get better with tuning. That is why I just purchased HP tuners, so I can tune my 100 shot even better.Comment

It isn't to hard to use if you do some studying up. It is designed for the DIY. www.hptuners.com has them but with you having a 96 you would have to swap your PCM out to a 97 PCM which is a direct swap. In order to not swap PCMs, you can go with the DHP tuner as well and that is $325 right now in the sponsor section on the boards here.Comment
