I came across this on the plane ride to my vacation, anyone that has their bottle in the hatch might help keep the bottle pressure down if the car is gonna be sitting in the sun for awhile:
that will just blow the hot air around in the car... it makes you feel cooler when it blows on you because it promotes evaporation off your skin, it will not lower the temp at all
true, it is blowing hot air around, but with the fan its forced convection vs. natural convection. forced convection is much more effecient. As long as there is a temperature difference between the surface temp of the bottle and the air being blown across it, it'll help out...

Well the reason for using this (*IF* I had my bottle in an area with direect sunlight) was not to prevent the bottle from exploding (although it would go hand in hand), but say it gets really hot and your bottle pressure runs up to 2,000 psi or even 1,500 psi it's not ideal for you to run the nitrous with the pressure being that high. I know NOS recommends 900-950PSI and NX recommends 1025 PSI or something like that. I figured if you had this blowing on the bottle atleast it could help keep the pressure from hitting a point where you have to sit there and figure a way to cool the bottle off so you can use it.
I have my bottle in the trunk and the highest it's ever gotten is about 1000 PSI on a day that was really hot so it's not a concern for me but I thought it was atleast something to check out if your pressure gets higher then normal in the summer.
