Been stare'n at my kit 4 a while since I haven't had time or anything 2 play w/it~NOS 5175~I'm gett'n ready 2 set it in tho but I have a question. In order 2 spray 100 shot I know tha saftey's... switches, guages,fuel pump...etc. but is upgraded exhaust a must? Could I get away w/an exhaust cut~Out?

Think about this..... you are about to stuff LOTS more air into your engine.... hwo do you get it out??? Open the exhaust up.
Can you run stock exhaust, yes.
Is it wise, nope.
Cut outs would just bypass either the muffler or the cat/ muffler.
Now a days you can pick up a brand new high flow cat for $40 and cat back for under 300.Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
