  • fill up stations

I live in the chicagoland area and i race at route 66 raceway in joliet. I was wondering if anyone knew of any fill stations around there, and where are fill up sations usually located (at the track, shops, etc.) Also, how many runs can i expect to get out of a 10 lb bottle running a 75 shot for pretty much the entire pass (12 or so seconds, once at WOT).

Above link works great for locations.

As for how much nitrous being used/ how long it lasts......

      Wet or dry?
      Mods?
      What kind of kit?

It will be a dry kit....either the NOS 5175 or the ZEX kit. The only mods are K&N FIPK and cat-back....but i plan on disconnecting the exhaust for the track

          Don't do ZEX.

Why are you dissconnecting the exhaust?

why shouldnt i do zex?? im not only disconnecting the exhaust for weight, but ive read a lot that a free intake and exhaust work really well with N2O

The more research and intruction manual reading I am doing, I am heavily leaning towards ZEX. It is cheaper and MUCH easier to install than NOS 5175. I wont be getting the kit until winter or next summer when the maro comes out of storage, so i still have time to change my mind.

ZEX isn't my first, second or third choice... I don't recommend it at all.

Don't ditch the exhaust.... sounds ricey... and you are removing all the weight from the rear... hurts traction

Why does it matter if it sounds ricey. There's 15 dozen other cars at the track that sound ricey too. Lol. I unhook mine half the time. Just to see if I there is anything to be gained from it. It usually seems like enough to push me into the 9's through the 1/8 mile, but there's just so much variation between runs that it's hard to tell.

personally, i think id listen to the guy with probably an 11 sec, N2O car and whos done damn near everything to reduce weight on his car (but kept the exhaust whole) as opposed to other stuff you mighta read... there might be a small gain to be had with taking off the exhaust, but i'm lazy and i do all my work in my driveway.. lol.. just my $.02...

At times.... with opening vs closing a cut out.... in the open set up I lost RWHP and RWTQ.

Keep the exhaust... I run complete exhaust
