NOS 5175 is a great kit..at the 50 shot level there will be no need to upgrade any fuel system components..just make sure they are all working properly (pump, filter, etc)..at that level you will also be able to run plugs that are the stock heat range (606) ..you will just need to gap them at .035 ..i would recommend a set of NGK copper plugs..NOT platinum..you'll also be able to run stock timing..just use premium fuel..92+ octane..once you start getting up around a 100 shot is when you realy need to start looking at fuel system and other mods..it just really depends on how high you want to go

The NOS 5175 kit comes with an 85 shot. So long as your stock fuel pump is in great shape, you shouldn't have to upgrade with that shot. However, if you go any bigger, you should really go with a bigger fuel pump. All you should really have with the nitrous is intake/exhaust, colder plugs like 1dangerousv6 said, and just make sure you use the safety gear. Also if you run a manual, run a window switch and you'll be fine.

It really is a great mod, both me and 1dv6 will agree, it owns the powerdyne. So much simpler, no complications, and much better power gain. The first time you push the arming switch you'll have a smile on your face for the rest of the week! ;)

its either n20 or gears, prolly gears as it would be a lil cheaper and safer in the long run and i would prolly get addicted to the juice and want more and more

Are NOS Kits pretty easy to install by yourself?
I looking to get set up with the juice. My car is a 2000 3.8 v6
I heard summit has a pretty good kit.

Well I can only speak for NOS, but so long as you can basically wire from a diagram, that's probably the most difficult part (for me anyways). My kit was really easy to install, what kit are you looking at anyways? I definately reccomend nitrous out of all the power adders.

I run the NOS 5175 85 horse dry kit. It's the same one that 1dangerousv6 runs (with a bigger shot mind you), and the kit that James (12secv6) ran for years until he switched to a wet setup. Most people in this forum especially 12secv6 will highly recommend this kit to start with because of the reasonable size shot, the safety gear it comes with, and the reliability of the setup. The gain off of an 85 shot is really good, and the setup is simple and works great, and so long as your stock fuel pump is running to "like new" standards, you don't have to replace your fuel pump for a higher flowing one.

NOS kit 5175 is a GREAT kit!

                          I went 12's on it.

                          13.4 on a 85 shot
                          12.8 on a 120 shot?

                          I bought mine from summit.
                          Add a warmer and blanket.
FPSS and blow down tube come with it.

Get NGK TR6 plugs and gap them at 0.035
