  • Only getting 58% of shot

using my race weight (3400), ETs, and MPHs, i was able to calculate that im only getting about 58% of the shot size that i run to the rear wheels (which is why it took so much to run 12s..or even 13s)..how do i increase this?..any ideas?..i was getting good 60's so its not traction or suspension..and other than calibrating for gears and injectors, i was on a totaly stock tune..i havent tried the juice yet with the ported upper intake so i dont know if that will help..i also moved the nozzle again so its more straight on into the TB..this is pretty much what my shots and best ETs looked like this past season..

    NA - 15.6@87
    85 shot - 14.5@93
    100 shot - 14.3@95
    120 shot - 13.9@96
    150 shot - 13.4@101
    175 shot - 13.1@102
    175/50 dual stage - 12.8@103

..these are dry shots..and even on a totaly stock tune i should be getting more than this..id like to be getting about 70% of the shot size..i'd like to run 13s on the 100 shot

Just because you have a certain jet size doesnt mean its always going to gain that much. When you start running big jets, especially on stock motors, the engine can only take in so much nitrous before it stops gaining. The better flowing heads you have and the larger cam you have(to a point) will free up the engines ability to take in more nitrous and make the power its supposed to make.

so basically a whooooole lot of ported sh*t would allow more of the nitrous to actually get down into the motor

ditch that NOS crap and run a NX wet setup. i would spring for a direct port setup.

something is wrong with your ride. i ran a 13.0@101mph on a 75shot. stock heads/intakes/ hell i even had the stock manifolds.

                    KEEP IT SIMPLE YET EFFECTIVE

i have been giving a wet setup some thought again..i've actually been looking at the ZEX kit because it reads bottle pressure to add fuel..so the car supposedly never runs too rich or lean..sounds pretty cool

BS on the never runs rich or lean... i was getting low 10s and into the 9's A/F with a 100 shot... zex is nice, but you could probably do better with NX or TNT
