  • wot switch and window switch

k Im in the process of buying some Nitrous, Im going with the NOS kit 5175. Its the basic kit so I want to know a little bit more about the WOT switch and the window switch. First and foremost where do I get them and how much are they? My other question is pretty basic, once I have those switchs all I do to activate the nitrous is arm and then punch the throttle and hold it down right?

you can get a WOT switch off e-bay for under $20. i got a MSD digital window switch but i got it along with my NX kit. but yes once you arm the nitrous then it will spray as long as you are at WOT and in the preset RPM range.

in fact here is a WOT switch for $13 + shipping. that is the same seller i got mine from.

Hey there, I also run the 5175 kit from NOS and to answer your question, it comes with a wide open throttle switch, a fuel pressure safety switch, and a blow down tube. You'll have to order the window switch seperately. It's a great kit, you'll love it the first time you spray!

Installation is really not all that difficult, just make sure you can do basic wiring and follow it off of the simple diagram and you're set. I installed it myself, with my friend wiring it for me (I hate wiring!), and it was a really simple install. The instructions provided are generally really good, and give a pretty clear step by step for a clean install. I was quoted quite a bit for an install, I think it was around 500.

How long your bottle lasts depends on alot of things, like bottle pressure, how long you're spraying for ect. For full times down the track, mine maybe last 10-12 runs or so.

your insane rofl, would the 10lb bottle fit in my trunk? If not I was gonna go with the nx 5lb does that come with all of the safety switches that the NOS system comes with? Or is there a way I can get the 5lb bottle with the NOS kit?

yeah a 10lb bottle will fit in the hatch area..James has 3 of em back there..and i believe the NX kit comes with the switches

btw..if that TSP tune advances the ignition timing (which it probably does) ..you're gonna want to get rid of that for nitrous use

you might want to think about this if you have the throttle by wire system on your car.
