  • The Kit has Arrived! :-D

    Picture 1
    Picture 2

Just got it in the mail. I read through the directions and decided its best to let the professionals take care of the installation. I am definatly out of my league on this one.

I got a coupon from Summit for $20 off my next purchase :D I'm going to buy a purge kit.

What size purge kit should I buy? -4AN or -6AN?

The install really isn't that hard if you just take it one step at a time and follow the instructions closely.
    Old Car = 12.679 @ 106.5 on 150 dry shot.
    New Car = 2010 3.6l 304hp Camaro

I dont want to take the liability for things if you do mess something up, but the install is something that you can do by yourself if you have a little bit of mechanical ingenuity.

You got the 05175 kit, right? The only thing you have to hook up to a fuel line is the fpss to the schrader valve, which entails using a removal tool to take the valve out and screwing on a connector. As for the brackets, that's the part you have to figure out on your own. I put it in the spare tire area, using a 2x4 and some screws.

yeah I got the 05175 kit. I went through a couple steps and I am very worried about messing something up. I don't want to take the chance of ruining this kit. I wish one of my buddies had experience installing nitrous :-\

You want the 4an for the purge.

if you install it yourself just take your time and if you have any questions just ask, it's really not that complicated.

Just don't over tighten the jic threads. Justhand tight, then 1/4 turn.

Nos should do a little more to promote their brand, could hardly tell it was theirs in the pics..

I've been struggling with getting the bottle mounted.. the brackets suck. I've been told I can mount it on an angle so I will head back out and try once again... I thought getting it mounted was going to be the easy part.. lol

i could only get the bottle installed tonight.. i've been busy with school.. I don't have school until monday so I should be able to work on installing it during the night when i don't have work.. so far these are the pics..

                            Mounted 1
                            Mounted 2

I ended up cutting 4 squares in the carpet because drilling through the carpet and the stuff under it kept clogging up the drill.
