StrtRacer - It didn't fit between the back seats and I didn't get your reply about using wood until after I had it mounted.
chet - I knew the fuel tank was under the bottle so I pre-drilled holes very carefully and used small screws with no points on them... that way if I got to the fuel tank it would have no chace of piercing it.
I am going to try to get the fuel lines run tonight and possible mount the solenoids. Depending on how long it takes me.
what determines whether the shot is a 75 or 100 shot? I got 2 solenoids, will one of them be a 75 and one be a 100 shot? How do I know which one is the 75?
the solenoids simply open and close to allow..or shut off..the flow of nitrous and fuel..the jets are the resistance..they are what will determine the shot size..on dry kit 5175 a 75 shot is a 36 jet and a 100 shot is a 52 jet..also the bottle should be mounted with the top facing the front of the car..but you can open up the bottle to angle the siphon tube to the back corner of the bottle..the reason for this is because when you slam on the gas the liquid nitrous is going to move toward the rear of the bottle..some people even mount them upside down with no siphon tube to get every drop
I was outside tonight with my girlfriends dad trying to install this kit. Its a lot more difficult then I thought it would be.. I don't have enough experience to install this kit. I am going to give in and pay the extra $350 to have it installed by the shop on tuesday.
one of the many questions I have about it is the blow down tube. How and why is this suppsoed to get installed? Where is the end of this tube suppsoed to go?
Are the fuel lines suppsoed to be ran outside of my car? If so what would I tie them up with?
I'm not sure what the "schrader valve" is and I don't know how to hook that part up. Not sure about where I'm suppsoed to hook the part that goes into a "vacumm" hose up at.
The list goes on. I am not comfortable installing it yet.. If I can't figure this out by tuesday I will take it into the shop.
I work all weekend so i won't have time to do it then.. but I have all day monday to try to install it.

the blow down tube is used so that if you build too much pressure in the bottle to vent outside the car rather then the bottle blowing to pieces it has a pressure disc that you'll install that can withstand a certain amout of pressure once this pressure has exceeded it will blow the disc and vent outside the car. hook it up to the bottle and vent it out side of the car (anywhere you want just has to vent outside) since you have your bottle mounted right above your tank you might have to attach a hose with a clamp on the end of it so it doesn't vent onto your gas tank IF it did blow the pressure disc in the blow down tube

The fuel lines will be in the engine bay. If your fuel rails are anyting like kristen's the shrader valve is near the firewall on the fuel rail if you go to kristen's car domain you may find a picture of it there if not I can have kristen take a picture of it for you

think of the shrader vavle as the tube on your tires that you use to fill them with air. You have to push in the pin so the air can enter the tube and fill the tire, you'll need to remove the the "pin" with a shrader removal tool on the fuel rail so you can use the fuel hard line supplied with the kit and bolt it to the shrader valve, make sure you release the fuel pressure by pressing on the pin (watch your eyes) before you remove it.

I work all weekend so i won't have time to do it then.. but I have all day monday to try to install it.
Any more questions just ask. I'll take a picture of kristen's shrader valve with the fuel line hooked up to it for you.
Cool thanks for the help! Makes me a little more confident. I will try again monday.
My one question when I asked about the fuel lines I wasn't very clear.. I will rephrase it.
Will fuel line that comes from the nitrous bottle need to be ran underneath my car to the engine bay or through the interior then drilled through the firewall?
I am re-mounting the bottle tonight. I really wanted it inbetween my two back seats and I am going to try to drill a piece of wood in the center then drill the brackets on to the wood.
Is there anything directly underneath the space between my two back seats? If i don't get a response within the next hour or so I will go out and try to check it out myself.
Thanks again for the help.
pumm3l & kristen.. if i drove down to philly would you guys be willing to help me install this kit? I would pay for the help.

yea i'd help ya out, I'm gonna rewire kristen's kit anyway because her car was the first time I ever installed a kit (i've installed 2 so far one on mine and 1 on hers, so I learned from my mistakes the 2nd time around heh) so the wiring could be better. If you want you can come down then and I can help you out.
As for the fuel line there shouldn't be a fuel line from the bottle to the engine bay, the fuel line attaches to the shrader valve then to the fuel solenoid then to your intake, but you will have to route the main nitrous line from the bottle to the engine bay though, right behind the drivers seat (I think there's one on the passenger as well) there's a rubber drain plug that we put a hole in and routed the line under the car to the engine bay but on the stang I just drilled a hole through the firewall, it's up to you how you wanna get it in there.
