Repainting Bottle

I have a bottle that i bought really cheap. Its kind of beat up. Can I paint it and remove the sticker? Do I need the sticker for it to get filled?

nope..you can pull that sticker off and do whatever you want to the bottle as far as painting..since they usually weigh them to fill them all you have to know is that its a 10 lb. bottle

that looks great"painted". I got my kit about a month ago havn't had time to install it. My car is a 5 speed. How does it work with the 5 speeds. Great or Awesome?

id heard differently, i hear some places wont fill it without the sticker on it, of course, i would imagine most wont care [img]smile.gif[/img]

I don't have the system operational yet but there isn't any obstruction for your shifting arm if that is what your concerned about. As far as some shops not filling the bottles without a label...... there are a few places on ebay that sell brand new nos bottle lables if you feel you have to have one.

I painted it.

Well first I peeled the sticker off then I primered it, then i bondoed it, then I sanded it, then i primered it then i sanded it more then i primered it then i painted it then I wet sanded it. Gunna wet sand it some more and do another coat. Looks good in sliver.

The sticker doesn't meen sh!t. The CGA code on the valve is only for N2O! Any shop that knows a bit about the gas that they are selling should know that...

Actually, its against the law for any shop to fill the bottle if it doesn't have a sticker. But I guess since its also illegal you use n2o on the streets, what difference does it make?
