To answer one of the questions:

The air filter thing is called pooling. I had a 03 sunfire and the ecotec motor had the same problem. It also only happens with a wet kit. In a wet nitrous kit the no2 is mixed with the extra fuel necessary in the air intake tube (pre combustion). In a very few cases the fuel wont make it all the way into the cylinder and it will "pool" in the low spots of an intake manifold. Anyone who has ever tried to "prime" a carburator to start a car and added to much fuel or carb clean can verify that sometimes you will get a small flame from "predetonation" all of the excess fuel and n02 is combusted in the intake manifold and can cause the air filter to come out of the box (even if it is latched). Mainly only happens to vehicles that the intake manifold has spots lower than the top of the block. I dont think our motors have this problem.

    my 2 cents

You don't need a fuel pump until you go over a 75 shot. I have an auto and don't use a window switch, I spray through the gears.

spray through the gears means I spray nonstop till the end of the run. I leave it spraying through the shifts. The last time at the track I ran with a 75 shot. I now have it jetted for 100, but it is in storage for the winter so hasn't been used with a 100 yet.

activation switch, then when it is WOT the nitrous activates because of the WOT switch on the throttlebody

Most people that I have read, set it from 3000 rpm to about 5500. But when they first put it on they had it set 3500-5000 and the once they felt comfortable with it, made it broader.

i personally do not use a window switch but would definitely recommend it..i also snipped the wires to my fuel pressure safety switch to spray right off the line at 2000 - 2500 rpms to get those extra tenths..never had a problem..i do NOT recommend this because i was running lean for a second right off the line..but just goes to show you how much safer you'll be with a window switch

i would also recommend upgrading the fuel pump for anything over a 75 shot..when i was running a 100 - 120 dry shot without the pump my spark plugs looked like sh*t..didnt have a problem after the pump

I did the walbro 255lph intank pump for mine. That way I don't need to worry about turning the pump on everytime I use nitrous. Our sponsors carry the pump , I got mine from zzperformance.com under the grand prix section and just told them I had an fbody and they sent me the correct kit. They were also the cheapest from what I found.
