  • Compresion ratio loss??

I've been spraying my car for a year and a half now, and there seems to be a lesser power gain. What could cause this?? I run a 100 wet shot with intake exhaust thermo. Im not able to run with the cars I used to.
Why hop up a V6, cuz $724 a month for insurance is a little steep.

it could be a lot of things..plugs, wires, fuel filter, nitrous and fuel filters lines and fittings, solenoids going bad..but if you're having a loss in compression then you need to take a look at your motor ASAP

If there were to be a loss of compression in a vehicle wouldnt there be a dramatic effect on gas milage?? At least 3 to 4 mpg? Im continuing to get good gas mileage, but any way im gonna do the compression test.

depending on the shot size, and how much you sprayed that shot size your compression can go down.. You have 2 things to look for, piston rings, and valve seats. its hard to tell if the rings are shot, you might get some smoke if oil is getting past the oil ring, but if you have a bad vale seat, you can hear it if you pump the cylinder with air. you can buy an air chuck that screws into the spark plug hole, then attach the air compressor to it, give it like 10 psi if your valves are leaking, you can hear air escape into the intake or exhaust manifolds. basically its a leakdown test... a properly sealed engine should hold that air for a good amount of time.

This is probably something you've checked already but it happened to me. Wasn't hitting like it used to, I had pressure so I pulled my nitrous filter and the screen was almost covered. Once I cleaned that everthing was back to normal.
