  • To the point (how much spray).

Hello, I havent posted a topic here before, but lurk a bit.

I am trying to decide if I should spray the engine, or save up...and in 2 years have enough for a t-70 turbo kit (if I could find it then). Where I live, Mustangs are everywhere.

What kind of shot will it take to beat a 99-04 Mustang GT with intake/catback? I know they run about 14 flat from the factory. ABOUT what would a 50-75-100 shot run?

This is with a full bolt on car (98 Firebird) with intake/PS headers/exhaust/3.42's, LSD...auto, with about 100 Pounds of dead weight (system) and 50k well maintained miles.

I know this question seems kind of dumb (sorry). I just havent been able to peice together what I should run (tons of varables, I know).

    Thanks.

I would say around a 75 shot will get you into the low 14's high 13's

but i could be wrong too

75 will take them if your car is in sound shape.

With a 70 Dry shot and a full bolt on call with 3.42 LSD rear and 2800 converter I pulled on them fairly eaisly.

I'd say put a 90 wet shot on your car and you will be neck to neck with LS1's and be stomping down stock GT's!!

i blew a head gasket w/ a 100 shot on stock internals etc.. get a fuel pump and possibly bigger injectors before going above a 75 shot

if he went with a wet kit he wouldn't need the injectors, fuel pump is always a good idea though

Re: To the point (how much spray).

People always jump the gun and say "get injectors"

Don't.... I run 19 lb stock rated injectors.

                  Even when I had a dry kit... 19 lb's

So, your goal is to beat newer stang GT's?

If yes..... basic NOS kit 5175 with 85 hp jets and all the safety equipement.
