  • Thinking of getting wet

After a search I found that wet kits are a little more potent, I dont have to screw with the dam fuel pressure regulator anymore and I found a lot of people having the same problems of inconsistentcy of fuel pressure so I want to convert my 5175. I found this:

    Is that all I need?
Where does the fuel line come off of?
Would I need to cut into a fuel line or could I remove my FPSS and go from there?
Is an FPSS still necessary with a wet kit?
Would I still need the nitrous pressure regulator and both existing nitrous solenoids?

NOS kit 5175 took me to the 12's

It really is a great kit.

On a wet kit you would tap into the fuel rail on passenger side and you would keep the FPSS in there... yes it IS required.

The kit (conversion kit) you provided isn't the best combo. You are better off contacting NOS direct and ask for what they recommend

Do you have a pic of where to tap into the fuel rail?

Thanks for the info on a better kit, I will check out what else NOS has to offer.

        Picutre off hand, nope.

Take a look behind your alternator... you will see the fuel rail. Look on top of the fuel rail for a black plastic cap... this is where you can tap in for a wet kit (you have to remove the schrader valve though)

          Re: Thinking of getting wet

Thats where I have my FPSS, where should I move that to?

BTW, the wires are not that loose and just hanging there. I have cleaned it all up and covered ALL the wires in plastic tubing ;)

I fugured it out. I will remove the FPSS, put a 90* elbow on the test port, connnect the elbow to a solenoid tee fitting, put the FPSS on the tee and the fuel line inline with the solenoid.

Here is a pic from someone at LS1tech from where I got the idea:
