  • Adjustable FPSS?

Does anyone know if the NOS 5175 comes with an adjustable FPSS or is it preset at a certain pressure?

    TIA

I thought it was adjustible and there is just a screw you turn to adjust it, BUT I could be wrong.

I just bolted mine on without messing with it and it worked fine!

Just for clarification, the FPSS supplied with the NOS 5175 kit IS ADJUSTABLE. Found that out last night, there is a little rubber cap on top that can be removed with a pic or small screw driver and it is an allen head screw. Counterclockwise LOWERS the operating pressure and clockwise RAISES the operating pressure.

So do you have to tune it when you get it? I'm sure they don't make it specifically for our cars, and there are many different pressures even with GM models. So how can you tell if its not set too high?

            Re: Adjustable FPSS?

There is no reason to tune for an FPSS. They are not made specifically for any cars, they are all universal. Yes many GM cars have different preset pressures, but thats why the switches are adjustable, hence the reason of this thread ;). You can see if its set too high by getting a fuel pressure gauge, that'll tell you exactly what its set at.
