right now i run a 15.70 in a 1/4 mile i was wondering what would my E.T. be if i
installed a 100hp Gm EFI Nitrous System, k&n intake system, and a high flow cat or jus gut the factory cats. also should i install a cat back system or just put a flowmaster muffler(i have the factory duals) headars maybe...and a high pres fuel pump
any other sugestions?
First, are you wanting to run a wet shot or dry shot? Auto tranny or 5 speed?
You definately need a high flow fuel pump for 100 shot, either a Walbro 255lph or an inline pump from MSD. You will also need TR6 spark plugs. At least full cat-back and maybe headers too. I also reccommend a window switch.
When you are talking drag racing other questions need to be asked such as the approx altitude of the track.
I would venture to say at sea level cool weather, full intake/exhaust and 100 shot... maybe low 14's. You could EASILY hit high 13's probably even mid 13's with gears, stall coverter, tune, good tires and suspension. Those last few mods will help a ton!! Gotta get power to the wheels...
I should add that when I say gears, tune, stall, tire and suspension I am talking about:
3.42 gears (maybe even 3.73's) with POSI
Good professional dyno tune
3000 stall converter
BF Goodrich Traction TA tires
Billstein or KYB rear suspension
You could go a few steps farther and get 4.10 gears, drag radial tires, lower control arms and a 3800 stall. Then you would hit mid 13's no problem!!:D
I am running an 80 wet shot, full intake/exhaust, headers, 3.42's, LSD rearend and KYB rear suspension and I am HOPING for 13.80's.
get a wideband. start off in baby steps, say a 50, then 75.
once u get past 75 a n20 tune is recommended, timing should be pulled for safety.
make sure that your car is 100% mechanically sound before before playing with giggle juice.
its a very violent pwr adder. shocks the system pretty hard.
i want to run a dry shot and start at a 50hp i have a auto trans and the alt here is abought 600ft.
What cat back system would u sugest? i was looking at a flowmaster system
and what is a window swich?

Window switch, aka RPM switch, activates the nitrous at certain RPM levels usually between 3000 and 6000. I have an NOS one that I am getting rid of if you are interested. They sell for $190 new, I'll sell it to you for $125. PM me if interested. Its nearly brand new.
