  • More updates!!

    Went to get another dyno tune today. I went to the same place as I did last time. This time we just did nitrous runs. It made 211 rwhp on an 80 shot. Keep in mind this is on a MUSTANG DYNO. No, its not what I expected/wanted, but it is hot as hell here and though that number is SAE corrected, it still wont show as high as it would in colder weather cause in colder weather the A/F ratio will be a tad leaner, but if I have the A/F adjusted now, it will really be f'ing lean when it cools down and thats not good.

    But, it ran great at the dyno shop, no trouble codes, no misfires, nitrous system works like a champ and the tuner took out about 2* of timing so I have a little room to bump the shot up to 100 if I want too without having to get another $90 per hour tune!

    I had a spare solenoid from my dry kit so I just bought some more tubing and compression fittings and presto! dual purge kit! :D :rock:

    211 seems a bit low even with the heat. I did 230rwhp on a 75 shot and I thought that was low on a mustang dyno. you were like 166rwhp NA weren't you?

        I think your 80 shot is more of a 70-75 shot. What were the numbers of the weather? It must be killing you or that 2* of timing retard is hurting you more

            I dont remember the exact weather numbers, I will get them and post them later tonight though.

            I dont think the 2* of timing is an issue. We ran it one last time at the end of the session NA (with the 2* taken out) and it made .5 less rwhp.

                I am not sure what you are asking

                I am not too worried about what the dyno read though. I am more anxious to see what my numbers are at the track this fall (when its much cooler). I MIGHT go to another dyno shop about 45 mins from here just to get an idea of what it will do on a completely different dyno (DynoJet). The tuner mentioned that all dynos are different and wont read exactly the same, even Mustang dyno to Mustang dyno or DynoJet to DynoJet.

                I mainly went to this particular shop cuz hes by far the best tuner in the area.

                        I just went out and did some runs on the backroads near my house. This sucker pulls hard!!! My brother drives a GSXR 1000 and he was even impressed.

                        Even though the dyno showed pretty low, I am suprsingly satisfied so far. That may change when I hit the track...

                          you usually take out timing because you are getting KR
                          go read viper's tuning guide, its great!
