I was thinking of going to a 120 dry shot, currently runiing a 100 dry shot off a nos 5175 kit. I have a Vs cam and forged internals, walbro 255 pump , 36lb injectors, headers with a 3" exhaust. right now my wideband shows my air/fuel to be at 11:7 running nitrous with 22deg of timing. I know there it is never safe running nirous but do you see anything wrong with running an extra 20 shot , also from the info on here there saying a 120 shot is a .63 jet but my current jet is a .47 jet and it is a 100 shot.Is that coorect for a 120 shot a .63 jet. Thanks Steve

Re: 120 dry shot
that seems like quite a jump up on jet sizes for only 20 more horses.

Re: 120 dry shot
I wouldnt trust that .63 is 120 at all. The wet shot sizes are close to dry shot sizes, not exact but .63 probably would be about 150.
I would email Holley. Thats how I got my wet shot sizes and when I dynoed my car, it came out to be EXACTLY 80 shot as they said.sigpic

Re: 120 dry shot
alright, ran it through the nitrous jet calculator. The .063 jet is definitely not what you want.
A Nitrous jet size of .063" or 1.6002mm should produce:
179.24 HP with 1 port(s)
Actual HP to the wheels: 152.35 HP
-----------------------------------------------------------
A Nitrous jet size of .047" or 1.1938mm should produce:
99.76 HP with 1 port(s)
Actual HP to the wheels: 84.80 HP
-----------------------------------------------------------
A Nitrous jet size of .052" or 1.3208mm should produce:
122.12 HP with 1 port(s)
Actual HP to the wheels: 103.80 HP

For your dry setup you leave the fuel pressure and bottle pressure empty. Just enter your jet size

Re: 120 dry shot
Quite a few people have ran the .63 jet for 120 shot. James saw a gain of about 111 rwhp with the .63 jet on stock timing.
I Believe the .63 jet to be the correct size for a 120 shot.
The 5175 Kit ships with a .47 jet for the 85 HP shot
A low .50s jet is held pretty true to be a 100 HP shot on our cars
and a .67 I believe is around 150 HP
This is AT THE WHEELS!

Re: 120 dry shot
^^ Defiately awesome info Nachius. Sticky maybe?
Good thing you said at the wheels cuz I was really confused for a second!! :D I know the .47 is 100 hp, .41 is 75 hp and .36 is 50 at the crank.Last edited by Shodown; 08-02-2006, 10:35 AM.sigpic
