  • Other than the kit, what else would I need?

I have been reading a ton of threads on nitrous, and decided that after I rebuild the engine, it's going on.

My question is I want the NOS-05175NOS kit, but what else do I need with it?

I'm going to put the bottle in my spare tire well, so I would need a remote bottle opener? And is a bottle warmer suggested as well?

Also I would need a window switch, a fuel pressure shut off switch, and what guage? Does the kit come with that gauge?

As for fuel pump, someone said that inline was better, which brand is the best/cheapest?

    Thanks!

    1. You dont NEED a remote opener, but if you want to control it from the driver seat then get one. I have one and love it.

    2. Bottle warmer is HIGHLY suggested, especially if the bottle is in the spare tire well cuz its cool in that area with no sunlight or anything.

    3. For a gauge, you can get one that mounts on the bottle but that wont do you any good if the bottle is tucked away in the spare tire well lol. I got my pillar gauge from an eBay store... Autometer C2, ~$156 plus the gauge pod. Get a fuel pressure gauge too, they are about the same price. If you are interested in a window switch, I have a brand new one from NOS if you want it.

    4. Fuel pumps, inline or intank, one isnt really better than the other. Inline (I'm told) are easier to install, but just dont forget to turn it on. I have an intank that wasnt hard to install. Inline are typically cheaper than intank. The MSD inline is a good ($85) one or the Walbro 255lph is a good, popular intank pump ($125). Its up to you which one you get.

Inlines are supposedly incredibly noisey and annoying when they're on. And as they said if you forget to turn it on you could be in for a world of hurt. I believe people on this very board have done just that, risky.

I forgot about the noise of the inlines.
