I wouldnt gap my plugs as high .045, that sucker will misfire like crazy. Keep it as close to .035 as possible.
BTW, this thread was 2 weeks dead, why did it come back?
my guess; because someone wanted to bring new information to the discussion.
what the heck is up with that whacky spark plug gap? can anyone post a reputable source (not wizards of nos) regarding this "better gap for day at the track?"
well im guessing 3.8 run a 35 gap my 3.4 says 45 but i go closer to fifty with out a miss sorry i have not a more reputable sorce for the gap doesnt hurt to try it with a set of worn out plugs just grind them down

I'm not tryin to be an @ss but, that would be a horrible thing to do on a nitrous motor and YES it could hurt. A gap that far off would cause serious misfire and/or detonation...bye, bye piston. Why would you grind down a spark plug????
Have you ever worked with nitrous cars before? Like I said I'm not being mean, I just think you are missing some concepts here. Close gap is what is beneficial for any car with juice, I have that a reference for that as well, this book:
your right i dont have much exp. with nitrous but i wasnt meaning to increase the gap on you sprayed app. just adjust the electrode placement to get a better flame front. my 3.4 is basically stock tb matched to the intake and a few little things to let it breath a little easyer thats it sorry if I wasnt clear. :)
No prob. I just dont want someone to come across this thread, gap their plugs incorrectly, blow up a piston and discredit our site and our members because they were misinformed. :)
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
