Are NGK TR6 plugs gapped at .035 absolutely manditory, or will bosch platinum tipped gapped at w/e stock is ok?

Yes, TR6's are a must with any power adder b/c they are a few steps colder. I know of guys who have blown headgaskets with bosch plugs and running nitrous. And yes they must be gapped at .035 or it will misfire.Last edited by Shodown; 10-17-2006, 11:47 PM.sigpic

They are absolutely mandatory!
1. The colder plugs are required to dissipate heat from the plug and avoid misfires (as stated above) and melted plugs.
2. Our cars come stock with platinum tips which are poor conductors of energy and heat. The tips have also been known to fall off with the high heat.
If you're going to use nitrous, you HAVE to swap out those plugs.Comment

My local Napa carries them. I don't know if all Napas will have them or not, but I can get them there. Autozone doesn't have them here.Old Car = 12.679 @ 106.5 on 150 dry shot.

the grand prix engines are the same basicly except for intakes and the l67 engines have different rods/pistons. So a lot of the stuff for the grand prix's works for our cars as well.Originally posted by Niko97RSComment
