  • time to get back in the game

ok so long story short..........i miss the spray. i plan on purchasing a new kit in mid december but i want to pick yalls brain first. ok first question. as some of yall know i sucessfully ran a 100 shot for multiple bottles on a stock fuel pump. well just to make sure im gonna go ahead and upgrade to the walbro 255. my question is....where did yall get your pump, and was it a direct fit. i see on on zzp, and they offer a 3800 specific kit with it. but i have also heard that the one from thunder racing is a direct fit. any info on this???

second question. before i got spray the first time i got a tune from pcmforless.com with a 75 shot figured in. who is is running spray on a stock tune? i need to get it retuned anyways and am just wondering if i should mention the uped 100 shot, or maybe tell them no spray to get those extra degrees of timing.

thanks in advance for any help guys. oh and if anyone knows of a good kit that is floating around let me know, im deffently looking. perferably including a purge and bottle warmer. thanks again, forrest

I knew you couldnt stay away from the spray for long!

I got my pump from Summit, but they dont carry it anymore. The kit ZZP has is good and a direct fit. TSP has the same kit as well.

It should be fine if its tuned for 75 and you are bumping up to 100, but if you are getting it retuned just tell them anyhow. You could add octane booster or 1-2 gallons of 100-110 octane gas and that would make up for it just as well.

zzp is the cheapest and where I got mine. DO NOT get the 3800 specific one though, get the universal kit under there grand prix section. The 3800 specific is made for the gp and is not what you want.

ok i have found a good deal on a nitrous express kit. The only thing that im not liking is that its a wet shot. ive delt with a wet kit once before and mistakenly sprayed it before the maf sensor. my question to yall is where did yall tap to spray after the maf?? so if yall have a wet kit, please post up a pick so i can see where yall placed the nozzle.

that looks easy enough. are their any other locations that good to tap or that the general place to do it. also is the fuel for the wet shot tapped at the shader valve or somewhere else.

that is the best place to drill the tb, just behind the maf sensor then. You can get fuel from schrader valve or tap a fuel line on the drivers side (not as clean though putting a tee in this.)

Yup, just tap onto the shrader valve, its the easiest, safest way to pull fuel.

I dont know of anywhere else you could tap for the fan nozzle, thats the only place I have seen it done so I did it too and it works great.

use teflon paste, do not use any teflon tape for nitrous setups

I also reccommend getting extra connectors and extra small spool of wire. I had to run back and forth from O'Rielly's multiple times for those things

yea....the closer the install gets the more i wish i would have never got rid of my old system. i also have to find a way to mount the bottle in the rear fender....any good ideas for that?

Thats VIN's design. Hes my nitrous guy. He sold me mine real cheap. Pics are in my cardomain of the mount. He specializes in carbon fiber engineering and helped nx engineer their new carbon fiber solonoids. Hes invented some other cool things like toolless fittings etc. He also makes one of those mounts with a built in bottle heater. Hes a great guy and actually runs the buisness out of his barn on the side.
