860 performance made nitrous sooo much more enjoyable..
i have the bottle bracket/heater and the hex-to-wing adapter. if i wanted to, i can pretty much disconnect my bottle heater, braided nitrous line and bottle while i'm driving down the road on the way to get the bottle refilled.
welp the kit was ordered this morning, along with the purge, and a line lock switch to use as my activation button. now i just gotta hurry up and wait on all of it.
ok so im going to start tonight. on my last system i ran the nitrous line under of my car, through the front right fenderwell, and into the engine bay. i remeber someone saying their is a grommet in the firewall right about where the computer sits. is this true, will i have to take out my computer to get to this? any help on that would be great. thanks again, forrest
yes there is a grommet behind your computer in the firewall. I would get your line out of your car as soon as possible though. I mounted my bottle between the back seats and ran the line out the grommet under the back seat, under the car, and into the engine bay.
if you want to run the line through the front firewall, you'll have a fun time routing it without kinks in the line.
to find the firewall grommet, unbolt the pcm in the front passenger side that sits right against the firewall (two 10mm bolts onto the wheel well i think). then you can kind of pull the pcm up a little and rich down, you'll feel that grommet - you won't have to reach too hard.
from the inside of the car; pop off the panel under the glovebox to expose where the carpet stops... your grommet is on the right there.
97rs4life, how hard was it to get to that grommet under the seat?
this one is the engine compatment. i have yet to run the purge line so the soleniod is just aiming up so i can pop the hood and purge it if i need too. http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4273153
this one is of the interior....the only thing u usually see is the purge button above the stereo. i bought a line lock switch to use as the activation switch, its usually hid under the console until its needed. http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4273152
i got my first victim last night too. it was an older (198x) rx7 with a lt1 swap. from a 40 roll i put 2 on him by 100, and from a stop i put abot half a length up to 75 before he let out. next mod....street radial, cause i spun like hell.
