So, Im hoping to buy a third generation camaro soon as a daily driver. I love the look of them, they are friking amazing, and around here, having one of them means you get women. Lots Of Women I would also like to get into racing, and there is a 1/8th mile track not far from here. I dont plan on being crazy fast, I just want to have some fun. (another hobbie to throw money at)

I have been looking at NOS kits for 80s camaros, and they look like they are well priced. $500 for the kit? Heck yes! Where is a good place to mount the kit? How hard to install is it? With stock suspension and cheap all weather radials, what should I expect?

Im in washinton and I am having a problem finding information about the laws, can some one help me with this? Is it true that as a minor I could not have my own NOS botle refilled?

not going to comment on the women part but for nitrous, are you looking for a v6 or v8 camaro.

install is easy if you have some mechanical skills, you must change your plugs so that is always a pain

Im getting a V6. (ROFL about wife comment, I like that :)

Basicly, I know very little (outside of the cemestry of it all). What is the least expensive way to do it? In a third gen, is there a easy place to mount it? With a stock V6, what is a 50 shot going to do? Mathmatticly it should give me and instang 33% increas in power, how does that feel? Is that a really good kick?

          Re: just researching

you'll feel a 50 shot. keep in mind it is not like a modification that adds 50hp to your peak. this is 50hp that you can slap on anywhere on the curve. the lower the rpm (don't activate under 3,000 RPM), the greater the torque.

i <3 nitrous, just got refilled today

call your police dept, they will le tyou know

tho i dont know why you are so concerned with if its legal. Cause i know that at one point while having n2o you would do something illegal anyways (ie speeding)

I care because if i get pulled over for speeding, that ticket will be bad enough. I need to know if Im going to get busted harder for having nos.

I know that when you hit the NOS button it will put more fuel in as well as N2O, but does that fuel come from the tank or can you do an independent fuel sorce for your NOS?

if you're going to have the bottle hooked up and ready to spray while you're driving on public roads, you do not want to get pulled over.

i have mine between the back seats. i can have the top down and you won't think its there - even if you're looking for it as some people have. i don't have giant glowing buttons that say NITROUS or stickers all over my car that say NOS or any of that crap...
if you're going to be using it on the street. find out what will happen to you, cover your @$$. if you're too shy to call the police department, consider that you could share information that you are doing research for a class project.

fuel can come from a different source, but you end up paying a pretty penny for a stand-alone fuel system. cheapest one i know of is from harris speed works

                    Re: just researching

Just find a good spot to hide your bottle (4th gens usually put it in the spare tire place, not sure about 3rd gens though) and your switches, and you should eb fine. Get a remote opener so you dont' always have to climb to your bottle to open it, and you'll be set. If you do get pulled over, they won't see the bottle or switches. Unless you get drug searched or some crap, then you may be in trouble :P , but in that case, I think they'd be more focused on finding the drugs, not the Nos.

harris speed works makes a good kit. theyre local for me also, and they do good work with everything else.

most states, having the bottle in the car is illegal. i keep mine out of my car here, and use it as a door stop in my dorm room, haha.
