Is there a certain shot of dry nitrous that makes it absolutely necessary to have the computer tuned? Or should the car be tuned for spray no matter what shot a person runs? Would a mail order tune from say pcmforless be ok for this, or should you have tuning software like digitalhorsepower?

I HIGHLY suggest having your car tuned via HP tuners to run any amount of nitrous because of knock retard (KR). You could just run 110 octane race gas too, but that gets more expensive over time.
I dont suggest a mail order tune either, those are only good for flashing the PCM for new gears and such.
There are people who run juice on a stock PCM and on pump gas, but I think thats asking for trouble and if you get any KR, it will slow you down BIG time.Last edited by Shodown; 11-19-2006, 04:19 PM.sigpic

i used to run a 100 dry shot on my stock comp. but it ended up bad. i would defenetly pull some timing outComment
